PLAIN-ENGLISH PRIVACY
Your shopping preferences
stay yours.
Last updated October 14, 2026. This page describes the Honey Be Honest companion chooser.
Your answers and saved picks
The free chooser runs in your browser. It does not send your selected answers to a language model or to HBH’s server. Saved picks use your browser’s local storage and stay on that device. Remove them in Saved, or clear this site’s browser data. They do not sync between devices.
Sharing creates a link containing the comparison and your selected option values. Anyone you send that link to can see those choices. The URL may appear in browser history and hosting request logs. Do not use shared links for sensitive information.
Basic usage counts
The app sends a comparison ID and an event name when you start a chooser, complete a choice, save a pick, or click through to an HBH article. The application stores aggregate counts by day. It does not store your name, email, IP address, selected answers, a tracking cookie, or a persistent visitor ID in that analytics table. Counts measure actions, not unique people or purchases.
The hosting provider may process request metadata and logs to operate and secure the service under its own privacy policies. These records are separate from the application’s aggregate counts.
Other websites
Manufacturer source links and HBH article links open other websites with their own privacy practices. The chooser does not open retailer affiliate links automatically. The blog’s subscription form is handled on the blog, not in this app.
Machine API and payments
The API sample is free and follows this Site’s access controls. If paid access is enabled later, requests include structured shopping preferences, and x402 payment authorization is processed by the payment facilitator and blockchain network. A receipt ledger stores hashed request and authorization identifiers, onchain authorization coordinates (including payer address and nonce), status, returned recommendations, and payment receipts to prevent conflicting retries. Onchain transactions are public. Never send passwords, private keys, wallet seed phrases or personal identifiers in API requests.
The paid route is disabled in the initial release. Its current status is shown in the developer guide. No payment is collected by the free chooser.
Questions or removal requests
Visit Honey Be Honest and use the contact link. Saved picks can be removed locally; aggregate application counts have no visitor identifier to look up.
